Noob Questions
I'm new. I got in post-searing yesterday - and I'm stuck.
I have done alot in the immediate area - gotten the best armor the Ascalon guy (Corwen) can give me, and finished most of the quests I could find that started in the area. I am level 9 right now. I have made it as far out as the Breach (Piken Sqaure) - and going into the Diessa Lowlands (for Duke's Daughter quest and such). I haven't really explored much elsewhere (as far south as the Sanituruim place). Problem. I use the lvl6 henchman from Piken Sqaure and try to venture further into the Diessa area - and to find that the place gets PACKED with Charr and Gargoyle enemies after a few minutes of walking into the palce (after the stone guys). My team doesn't last very long...I generally think therefore that i maybe should be around lvl10-12 and try to go through there? Also in this corner of the World what am I missing - The breach and that general area is the only place I've done much exploring. |

Have you done missions? After finishing Fort Ranik you end up at Frontier Gate, go southwest from there and there's Serenity Temple. If you head west from Piken you can get to Grendich Courthouse, although there's really nothing to do there. If you get bored with an area, keep doing missions and you'll end up in the next area.

Here's a map you can refer to about where you can explore (It's a HUGE map btw!): http://www.theamazonbasin.com/gw/fil...ap2ndBeta2.jpg
If you haven't found any yet, missions are the way to go for new people. They award you with 1000xp and a Skill point for completion (And another 1000xp for Bonus, but I won't get into that), then send you to a new area (Usually another mission). By doing the missions and quests you find in the areas you're sent to, you'll effectively get around the world at a decent pace while leveling. The first Mission you want to start at is 'The Great Northern Wall' located in 'Ascalon City' to the Northeast. You'll miss some areas by doing Missions strictly, so use the map I linked to help get yourself around and enjoy! |
